About Us

I’m Dan Whitehead the Founder of pi Tax Management. After more than 25 years as a business owner and Financial Advisor with background in taxes, I realized our clients needed someone who could do their taxes while understanding their investments and financial situation. One of the many reasons I love my job is that I get to work with people with complex needs or problems and then providing simplified solutions to those complexities.

After graduating from Brigham Young University with a degree in accounting, I worked my way around the financial industry by being an Accountant, a Private Bank Director, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ who founded a financial planning company, and now a tax practice. 

I really like my job but I love my family more. I have an amazing wife and 6 talented children. If I’m not at work, I’m usually running to different basketball games to watch my kids play. I’m also working on becoming one of the greatest pickleball players ever, I just need a lot of practice.

My name is Emily Tarletsky and I’ve joined pi Tax Management as the Chief Operating Officer. I'm looking forward to helping pi Tax Management's clients have a pleasant and efficient tax experience.

A little bit of my background, I went to the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!) majoring in Spanish and International Relations. I have a Master's in Public Administration with a concentration in nonprofit management from UC Denver. Most recently I became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and am eager to put the new found knowledge to work.

When I’m not having fun at work, I love to hike and camp. I also enjoy international travel, I crossed Peru off my bucket list and now I need a new top destination to visit!
